She was served as a research and development (R&D) officer from 2008 to 2009 at Malaysian Cocoa Board (MCB) and 2009 until 2016 at Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) and also awarded the Best Publication award (MPOB). Miss Noor Khairani achieved outstanding achievements in the field of Master of Agricultural Science (Crop Production) focus on reducing the use of chemical fertilizers while ensuring increased oil palm yields on 2018 at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

In the meantime, the results of her study related to biofertilizers as a complementary amendment to the sole use of chemical fertilizers in an oil palm plantation was successfully awarded the Gold Award at Research & Innovation Awards 2015.

She is also appointed as an external advisor for the Master of Agricultural Science Program (Crop Production and Protection) at UMS.

Meanwhile, she will complete her higher education at Universiti Malaysia Sabah as a Doctor of Philosophy in the field of Enhancing Biofertilizer and more to Oil Palm Sustainability. Where she focuses on some things related to research and development, she is also responsible for implemented cropping program by issuing crop depending on weather season followed by the agronomic practices. In addition, she also does create formula and arrange fertilizer annual program based on soil and leave analysis, organized and lead new research project as well as responsible on laboratory training.

Miss Noor Khairani believe the end result by an oil palm plantation is the production of fresh fruit bunches with good quality together increased yields in existing and future plantations in a sustainable way, all factors mentioned need to be understood and addressed.

MEET OUR CONSULTANTS

Ms. Noor Khairani Mohd Basri is a professional who has a strong background and experience in the field of research and development related to crop growth mostly in oil palm upstream and downstream. Hailing from Sabah, she has a deep knowledge of science and agriculture, she has been an Malaysia Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) Auditor, Agronomist and Consultant since 2017 until now.

Throughout her career as a consultant, she has provided consulting services to several plantation companies, where she is responsible for designing, constructing and monitoring new formulations for oil palm fertilizers including conducting internal audits, reporting and compiling the MSPO annual audit schedule.

Regarding on her experience, she also managed to ensure that all estates here in Sabah that had used her MSPO consulting services successfully implemented Malaysia Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) 1.0.
